I have spent the day waiting in the hospital in Kitchener waiting for my Father's surgery to be completed. His surgery started at about 7AM and he finally made it to the ICU at 3PM.
The valve replacement and repair went well but he was bleeding too much so they had to go in again to try and fix it. He had 6 transfusions and 2 bags of plasma but as of 8PM he was stabilizing.
They are going to keep him asleep for the night and see if he is ok to wake up tomorrow.
So, barring any more complications, everything is ok.
It is almost 10 PM and I have been up since 5:15 AM. I really need some sleep!
I'll keep you updated... Thanks for all the well wishes.

I'm so sorry to hear there were complications with your Dad's surgery - but I do have my fingers crossed that everything turns out well now! All the very best wishes to him for a speedy and full recovery!
Here's hoping he's out of the woods :)
Please add mine to the list of well-wishes for your Dad. I'm sending lots of good healing thoughts his way from the desert.
Make sure you get some hugs and a few minutes to sit and breathe, too.
