March Already?

Busy, busy, busy! I have been that!

Some knitting happening since the last post but business is slowing me down. There are some major changes happening in my life right now. Good changes that I can't wait to share with you all! You will have to wait but I promise it's worth it!

Knitting that has been happening is the slow progress on the Swallowtail Shawl. I am remembering how much I love knitting lace! I am really enjoying knitting it but it is definitely a project that requires undivided wide awake attention. Knitting in front of the TV or while people are in the room with me is a no go, so, I only get to knit for 1 or 2 hours a day on this. I have finished the main part now and am about to embark on the border. I made sure to put in life line that's for darned sure!

Other big news! My youngest got his braces! This picture was from yesterday. He is in a bit more discomfort today but nothing a little Ibuprofen can't handle. Rhea has one more year of braces and he is just starting his 3 year stint. Now a days braces are so commonplace. It is not like when I was young and children with braces were made fun of. Well, I hope that is true for my children's sake.

It may be March but man is it cold out there today!

I'm putting in good thoughts for warm, sunny, blossom filled, spring days.

Look at that happy guy! :0)

I love you shawl! I had the same reaction to knitting lace when I made my most recent pair of socks, with a lace pattern on the leg. I had forgotten how much I enjoy it!

I'm growing more and more fond of knitting lace, too. Can't wait to see the final result of yours as well! There's a neat flickr group for Lace Knitting that has some great photos. Here's a link.

I can't wait to find out what this mystery is! I'm with you on laceknitting, can't do it when I'm otherwise occuppied. And it is true about braces, all the kids have them so it's ok. Thank goodness.

I love lace! Although I haven't knit the swallowtail shawl yet. It is on my must knit list though.
